Sit on stage during the Xanadu musical!

xanadu1OK, seriously, when are you ever going to have the chance to sit on the stage and be part of a Broadway musical at the Orange County Performing Arts Center?

Unless you’re a really talented performer, the answer is going to be “never,” right?

Wrong! If you call now, you can get stage tickets to literally sit on the stage and watch Xanadu, the musical that’s going to be at the Orange County Performing Arts Center while it’s in Costa Mesa, Dec. 16-27.  There are about 30 or so seats on the stage for the production, which involves a silly plot and lots of roller skating.

You need to phone the box office at 714-556-2787 and tell the ticket seller “Promo code 10734.”

These stage tickets are $25 and, needless to say, some of your view is going to be of actors’ behinds since you’re sitting behind them.

But I decided to bring my daughter to this show after I watched some video of kids raving about how much fun it was to sit on stage.  Kids must be at least 10 years old to be eligible and you can only buy two tickets.

This is the Broadway production of that forgettable movie from the 1980s with Olivia Newton-John.  It’s supposed to be a really fun, family-friendly production.

If they don’t have any on-stage tickets, you can also get free kids’ tickets to certain performances, if you buy an adult ticket. Prices start at $20 for the top balcony and increase depending on location.
