Once again, Wal-Mart is taking a loss on a new media release, hoping to get you into the stores or onto its website.

First, it was new best-seller books for only $9. Now, the megastore is offering new release DVD movies to preorder for only $9.98 with free shipping to your home.

Wal-Mart has to pay the production distributors an average of $18 each for the movies, so they’re taking a hit on these, hoping you’ll shop enough on other goods to make up for it. Meanwhile, you can take advantage!

Here are some of the titles they’re offering for $9.98:

• Julie & Julia
• Santa Buddies
• Star Trek XI
• G-Force
• Angels & Demons
