It’s a bit hard to believe anything is cheap in Irvine, but the Starplex Cinemas are, also known as the Woodbridge Movies 5. It’s a great place for a cheap date.

All shows are $2 except on Tuesdays, when they’re only $1.

Right now, you can see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in case you missed it like we did!

Four other movies are also showing here, including the Time Traveller’s Wife, which you must admit is a very romantic date flick!

There’s a Ruby’s Diner next door where you can grab a burger, located at 4602 Barrance Pkwy. Phone is 949-552-7829.

Kids eat free there, by the way, on Tuesdays, so if you decided to bring the rugrats, they could eat free at Ruby’s then get into the movie for a BUCK.

And, if they’re your grandkids, and you belong to Ruby’s Jitterbug Club, you can get a discount off your meal as a senior.

Now, that’s a deal.
