
I got this email from Katherine Mielke about upcoming events at the Newport Beach Public Library.
If you’re not familiar with this library, it’s really beautiful. And a library card here is free for any California resident.
I used to drive here from Laguna Beach just to use their amazing collection of audiobooks for my daily commute.

Friends of the Library Book Sale, Central Library, 1000 Avocado Avenue, Newport Beach
This is an incredibly good deal! The Friends of the Library Book Sales are held four times a year and generate a substantial amount of money that is donated to the library to fund programs and materials. It is one of the reasons the Newport Beach Public Library is able to present so many free programs for children and adults. Tons of great books for cheap, cheap, cheap! A buck a bag!

Lisi Harrison, author of the wildly popular series The Clique, will visit the Central Library to talk about her books, take questions from the audience and sign autographs. This event is sponsored by the Newport Beach Public Library Foundation. There is no registration required and no fee.
