Saturday, May 23:

strawberryqueenhistoricGarden Grove Strawberry Festival. Parade starts at 10 a.m. Actress Cloris Leachman will be the grand marshal. Floats, marching bands, equestrian teams, clowns and more.  Here’s a map of the route. Lots of events. You have to pay for the carnival rides, but the festival is free. And maybe you can win the karaoke contest and come out ahead. There’s also baby contests, redhead contests and lots of activities. Here’s the festival website.

Sigler Park Splash Pad opens with free water play for the summer today in Westminster. Hours of operation: Weekends: May 23rd - June 21st from 12 Noon - 5pm  Daily: June 22nd - Sept. 7th from 12 Noon - 5pm. Click here to siglerparksplashpadlearn more.

Hike and bike Quail Hill on a special wilderness access day today. Designated trails will be open for self-guided hiking and mountain biking from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. You must check in and register at the Quail Hill Trail Head before heading out.

Memorial Day Classic Collectors Car Show Free. 11am - 3pm at South Coast Home Furnishings Centre, 3303-3323 Hyland Ave, Costa Mesa, CA Come see classics, antiques, muscle cars, hot rods and more.

The Nixon Library and Birthplace in Yorba Linda is free today. Interesting place, check it out! There’s also a concert today.
