Restaurant chains are starting 2009 with a bevy of new value deals. Here’s the latest:

  • Crispy shrimp tacos are back on the Rubio’s menu. To download a Rubio’s coupon good for crispy shrimp combo meal, or a fish taco for $1.50 , CLICK HERE. (expires Jan. 25)
  • Del Taco is now offering three, $3 meal deals. Today (Jan. 13), the Lake Forest-chain added a $3 Value Deal that includes a chicken soft taco, half-pound bean and cheese burrito and small drink. Other $3 deals are: Del’s Deal, which includes two half-pound bean and cheese burritos, a regular taco and small drink; and the Classic Combo Deal, which includes a classic taco, Del Combo burrito and small drink.
  • McDonald’s is offering two Big Macs for $3.50. (Limited-time only)
  • Togo’s is offering a $3.99 value sandwich daily. Read more about the limited-time only deal here.

Isn’t Carls also doing two famous stars for 3.50. Love these deals but I can’t eat two. I need a buddy cause my wife doesn’t do burgers.

    • A V Rabinowitz says:

Too bad there are only two Fazoli’s left in all of California, one near Ontario Mills and another location in Chio Hills. Fazoli’s also bailed out of Arizona earlier this summer.. Reminds me of the East Valley Tribune bailing out of Arizona last week…LOL (inside Freedom Communications joke)

I hope the free plate of spaghetti from Fazoli’s isn’t like the supposed free sandwich from Domino’s. In my e-mail yesterday, I received the following “Dear John” reply:

Thank you for contacting Domino’s Pizza. We’re thrilled that so many people are excited to try our sandwiches and 1,000 consumers have already managed to hit that “send” button, so they are already in line to receive a free Oven Baked Sandwich in honor of Domino’s 2-to-1 win over Subway. We’re sorry your entry is not among the first 1,000. We appreciate you taking the time to contact Domino’s and encourage you to take the challenge yourself – order today!

I wonder if Nancy’s e-mail was successful as part of the first 1,000 entries?

Good deal on the Famous Star’s at Carl’s Jr.!

Instead we purchase the “secret” Famous Star, it’s called the Big Burger for $1.29 (recently increased from .99c), and add lettuce and tomato for .15c (or so depending on location). Much less expensive than a Famous Star for the same damn thing. It’s not on the menu. You have to ask for it, although at most locations a sign is plastered in one of the windows promoting the Big Burger.

    • Bob James says:

I believe it is two Famous Stars for $3.

Also, Jacks deal is Jumbo Jack, 2 tacos, and french fries for $2.99.
